Tina-Marie Hew Len-Castro’s journey to becoming a UTEP graduate was anything but straightforward. Humorously referring to it as the “30-year plan,” she proudly holds a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Business. Despite balancing three jobs and numerous responsibilities, she learned invaluable lessons in resilience, time management, and determination.

“My experience at UTEP wasn’t just about academics,” Tina-Marie explains. “It was about overcoming obstacles and staying focused on long-term goals.” An unexpected push from her mom’s boss led her to enroll and eventually become the first in her family to earn a degree.

Today, Tina-Marie’s business, Art Masters of El Paso, stands as a testament to her dedication. Founded over 25 years ago, Art Masters offers custom art solutions, appraisals, art leasing, restoration, and installation services. Under her leadership, the company serves hospitals, UTEP, local charities, and businesses across various industries.

Tina-Marie’s passion for art extends beyond aesthetics—it’s about making a meaningful impact. She believes in the transformative power of art, particularly in healthcare settings. One touching memory she shares is of a young patient’s painting at Hospice El Paso, which became a beloved piece in the facility’s pediatric room.

Art Masters has continuously evolved, embracing new technologies and expanding its reach. Tina-Marie’s leadership philosophy revolves around adaptability, creativity, and community commitment. “We’ve built strong relationships with local artists, businesses, and institutions by offering personalized service and top-tier quality,” she notes.

Her time at UTEP continues to influence her work and leadership style. “UTEP taught me that success isn’t just about grades; it’s about grit, passion, and staying committed to your goals,” she says proudly.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, Tina-Marie advises knowing the purpose behind your passion, adapting and evolving, building relationships with kindness, investing in your community, and believing in your vision.

Tina-Marie’s journey from UTEP graduate to successful business leader exemplifies the power of hard work, resilience, and passion. Through her dedication to art, community, and entrepreneurship, she continues to inspire and uplift, creating a legacy of beauty, healing, and empowerment for El Paso and beyond.
