MEET A MINER: Grissel Rodriguez '18, Bachelors in Finance Administration & Legal Reasoning.
What advice would you give to fellow Miners? "Challenging yourself to get out of your comfort zone is essential. Doing things that scare you will take you far. Never settle for anything, always go for more, and always be yourself. Authenticity can’t be bought."
What’s your ultimate life goal? "I want to make a difference in the world and help as many people as I can. I want to leave a mark where people can remember me for the person I am, someone who would do anything and stand up for what is right."
What do you love about El Paso? "El Paso is home; it means family and culture. The authentic Mexican food and amazing people make it so memorable. Everyone is so friendly and always there to lend a hand. Being a border city is one of my favorite things; there’s so much to experience. As a big hiking gal, I will never get tired of the beautiful mountains and scenic drive views."
What local businesses do you recommend in El Paso? Carlos & Mickeys- Green Enchiladas and Margaritas, El Beso Taqueria, Pizza de Birria
Cafe Central, 2Ten
