Welcome back to our UTEP family and friends.
The Office of Alumni Relations exists to foster an enduring connection between UTEP and its students, engage all alumni into the life of the University and support them in pursuit of their goals, as well as preserve the heritage that bonds the diverse group of peoples touched by UTEP.
I believe that establishing relationships and partnerships are a critical component for achieving our goals. I call upon each of you – student, alumnus, parent or friend – to proudly claim your role as a member of the Miner Nation.
Our staff strives to promote and provide the services and opportunities that are needed to make the UTEP Alumni Association a premier alumni organization. Along this path, our office has launched this new web site for our UTEP alumni and the constituent groups we serve.
For alumni, take a moment to log-in to net community, create your profile, and let us know your interests so we can provide the services and programs you want. Check-out the benefits and affinity partners we’ve secured just for you and take the opportunity to connect with your local alumni chapter.
For current and prospective students and their parents, there are now dedicated portals for both the Student Alumni Association and the Parents Association. Simple online sign-up forms will make it easy for new members to join, and keep existing members informed.
Beyond our new look, we’ve added a few new online functions that will make maintaining your active membership, getting involved and staying connected at your fingertips.
You can now instantly and securely apply for membership, register for events we offer, order merchandise and pay for all these items online.
Peruse the events calendar and check out the Miner Pride section to reacquaint yourself with the long-standing traditions and history of our University.
Lastly, I encourage you to sign up for the monthly e-newsletter Miner Notes to find out what’s happening among alumni and at UTEP.
Remember, your membership dues and other income generated all go to support UTEP scholarships and alumni programs. These include the Distinguished Alumni Awards, the UTEP Student Alumni Association, and services offered by our Affinity Partners to name a few.
