MISSION

It is the mission of the UTEP Black Alumni Network to establish and maintain lifelong connections between the University of Texas at El Paso, its alumni and friends, faculty and students and the El Paso community. This, in turn, leads to increased support for the university’s mission and goals and enrichment for all participants. Successful relations are the result of the strategic and deliberate cultivation of alumni as leaders, volunteers, advocates and donors for the University of Texas at El Paso.

GOALS

1. Establish and cultivate relationships with alumni and friends of the University of Texas at El Paso through communications, programs, and services.
2. Serve as an instrumental alumni resource for the University of Texas at El Paso in alumni services and programs, working with colleges and schools to promote alumni involvement and cultivation.
3. Identify, motivate and train strong alumni, faculty, students, friends and volunteers to raise scholarship funds and foster student recruitment for the University of Texas at El Paso.
4. Encourage diversity by increasing the involvement of minority and young alumni in the life and support of the university.
