UTEP Centennial Wine
This year launches the beginning of the celebration of UTEP’s Centennial anniversary of this University’s distinguished service to the Paso del Norte region. As we began thinking about the many different ways we could observe UTEP’s Centennial, we recognized the opportunity to create a commemorative keepsake that, like UTEP, would continue to improve with age. Just this week, we unveiled the very first UTEP Centennial Wines, fittingly produced by the Miner Family Winery in Napa Valley, California.
The Miner Family Winery, whose portfolio of wines is highly regarded for its individualistic style and uncommon quality, and which has been lauded for creating “profoundly joyful wines,” produced for UTEP two exclusive blends – a vintage red and a chardonnay, displayed on the screens to my right and left. The bottle’s striking label design, featuring the iconic Miner pickaxe, was created by UTEP Associate Professor of Graphic Design Antonio Castro.
We’ve been working with the Miner Family Winery on developing the wines for the past two years and we’re incredibly excited to finally be able to make them available to you. You can order the wine using the link below. We are sure you will find that these two finely crafted wines reflect UTEP’s high standard of excellence.
