Dear Miners,
As you’ve probably read on the news, most parks near lakes in the metroplex are CLOSED due to the high water levels these rainy days have caused.
The organizing team has been looking at other potential locations for the Pick-Nic. We have decided that we will host the Pick-Nic at Eastside Denton. Bring the family! Dogs are welcome in the patio.
What’s the plan?
UTEP will provide sandwiches and chips. Please bring other sides or dessert. No outside beverages are allowed. Eastside has alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale at the bar.

Donations
As is in our UTEP DFW tradition, we ask attendees to bring a donation. This year we will help Don't Forget to Feed Me, a pet food bank in Fort Worth. Their goal is to keep families together by providing food for companion animals who might otherwise be surrendered to shelters.

We will raffle UTEP paraphernalia for anybody that donates the needed items. Please bring a copy of your receipt or bring the item to the event to get a raffle ticket.
